The next Parent/ Grad meeting will be on April 8 at 6:00 pm.
I will be ordering grad gowns next week. If I do not have the grad's height by then (see the survey) I will assume they are not attending and no gown will be ordered for them.
Purdys fundraiser is ongoing, see Mr. Oxtoby for the forms- it is all online.
At the March meeting we voted to have Toasts to the Grads/Parents/Staff. We will be asking for volunteers and then voting on those who volunteer.
We have about 526 requests for banquet tickets so far. We will do our best to honour requests of all of those who submitted their request by the deadline of March 7 (the survey), however we would like to provide at least four tickets per grad, so will see how the numbers shake out. Please monitor your email for further developments. Banquet tickets won't on sale until May.
Contact Mr. O if you would like a Grad picture retake on April 17.
We would appreciate 3 pictures from you to become part of the presentation – a baby picture, a grade school picture (for example, maybe the first day of school) and a picture to show the “real” person (e.g. Funny picture, doing their favourite activity, with a special pet – at any age). All pictures need to clearly marked with the graduate’s name (first and last).
Please pick up your Grad Package from Mrs. D in the Learning Commons ASAP. They will be there as of Feb 28.
Check your gm account for the grad survey (released on Feb 28) and complete it for March 7 in order to attend the Ceremony and Banquet.
Please use the link below- keep them appropriate. Link will be live until early March. Quote will go in the yearbook and be read as you cross the stage in George Lane Park. You will need to be logged in to your google account FIRST! Use your school email.
The next Parent/Grad Banquet meeting will be on March 11 at 6:00 pm As a result of the vote by Grads, our MCs for the banquet will be Mr. Deurbrouck and Ms. Dwernychuk

A Note about the Grad Valedictorian: The Valedictorian will be the last speaker at the ceremony in the park. By Highwood tradition, the Valedictorian is chosen as follows. The top 3 academic students (who are interested) based on Core classes will be asked to give a speech in front of the grads and the staff at Highwood. The grads and staff will then vote on who they would like to be their valedictorian. In the case that some of the top 3 do not want to be Valedictorian, we will go down the list of top academic students until we have 3 who will speak.
Book your GRAD photos online...see bulletin board for details.
The banquet menu is posted on the bulletin board.
